Our Progress

GET THE PICTURE?

Construction trucks still roll through campus, but with less frequency now. The ONE School Project is nearly complete. After a school year full of construction, this fall students and teachers were invited to discover 25,000 new square feet of a school building and to experience teaching, learning, and community in an even deeper way. Each day there is something new as we grow into our freshly opened corners of campus.
These new corners have inspired a deeply connected feeling at The Lexington School from the tiniest to the tallest. It has motivated an energy of innovation that impacts each student’s experience in a real and palpable way. And it’s powerful.

LEADERS NEVER STAND STILL.

A ten million dollar campaign is improving aspects of The Lexington School that benefit every single student who attends and brings our school together as ONE.

A FRONT DOOR IS A GOOD PLACE TO START CONNECTING.

Welcome to our new front door. This distinctive main entrance enhances student safety and provides a welcoming experience for our families and visitors.
    • The Lexington School Academic Center

CONNECT THE LEARNING COMMUNITY.

Our new library connects students with great literature, technology for research, and quiet corners for reading and exploration. The windows above provide a birds-eye-view from the new learning spaces upstairs; you can even catch a peek of the green screen in our amazing new iLab!
    • The Learning Center at The Lexington School

CONNECT THE LEARNING CENTER.

The classrooms in our new Learning Center allow for classroom groups to work together with doors open, or individually, with the sliding "barn doors" closed. With this arrangement, Learning Center Students have access to a learning environment that is specifically designed for their learning styles while also enjoying a physical enforcement that enhances the community.
    • The Lexington School's Middle School

CONNECT OUR STUDENT LEADERS TO THE 21ST CENTURY.

The middle school building renovation has expanded and transformed the division's physical identity, flexible space, and growth potential. New technology in classrooms and collaborative learning spaces facilitate innovative and student-centered teaching and learning.

CONNECT WITH THE GREAT OUTDOORS.

Our beautiful 40-acre campus makes an excellent outdoor classroom. ONE School takes full advantage of it by adding a Colts Clubhouse and classroom, improved athletic fields, and a new middle school playground.

CONNECT FOR LUNCH, NOT BRUNCH.

Lunch is no longer brunch for our preschool students as the new dining hall expansion and renovation has allowed for more space for students and families to enjoy Chef Ryan's nutritious fare.
